So i recently introduced myself on here, still kinda new... im on mive so you might have seen me there...
Let me introduce my daily/project. Only things i really planning on doing to it are keeping it clean and functional (sorta) and well reliable, and reliable is a hard word to use with older vw's. So recently this year i had a 1990 passat gl 16v (can post pics if ya wanna see it) and it was on the verge of dying in my eyes, i sold it for whatever i could, 1100 bucks leaking coolent and oil like a b!tch... Selling that made me think im sick of vw's and i really dont want another... all that talked changed when this mark 2 came up... A Tornado Red mk2 jetta from Virginia rust free and 92k miles on it for 2300, i couldnt help myself... quickly called on it and talked down to 1800, bought next day... Absolutely in love with it.
When i first bought it, it wasent pretty thats for sure... the paint was dull and the interior needed lots of cleaning.

^only picture i have when i bought it with black hubcaps and no valance... and ugh...
So as soon as i got home that day i got to work, washed it, clay bared it, waxed it, polished it and detailed the interior. Found some oem vw floor mats for the front and back, and painted the hubcaps white...

Looks 100 times better in everyway... a few weeks after i replaced a few vacuum lines and cleaned the engine bay with some degreaser and pretty much left it... i didnt do much up to a few weeks ago but take care of it and clean the hell out of it. Daily driven.
Bought a OEM Autobahn roof rack this guy had new in box since the day he bought it in 1986, still has all the parts, two bike trays and original manuals in both english and german...

So as i was saying a few weeks ago shit got real, i bought some H&R lowering sport springs for 100 bucks off a buddy and went to work, never got any pics as i was way to occupied and busy trying to get them on and done... woke up at 7 am worked all day didnt get them on and the car back on the ground till 5 pm that evening. I did it right, hence why it took so long, replaced the things i needed, cleaned bolts and my fender wells, replaced the rear struts and bushings and just cleaned up the fronts as they were fine.
Boom, bam back on the ground and about 2 inches lower, i fell in love with my car all over again.

It all came out soo good! but my rear sags a little... and in all honesty it doesnt bother me, just wish the front would sit down, so i might cut a coil off and call it a day.
So the other day, i was browsing on craigslist just seeing whats out there and came across some wheels, yeah i guess the hubcaps just dont do the car justice lol, i found some BMW 5 series wheels 5x120, called the guy and talked to him found out they were 500 bucks and they were 16x7 all the way around and needed a good cleaning...
He said if i came out today before he closes i could snag them for 200 bucks! needless to say i got in my car went to the bank and drove to him, found out he was at greenfield and waren road, and i dont know if you guys have ever been down there but its not the area that id wanna be in ever again.... lol.
Brought them home and spent the next day cleaning them and detailing them, they look brand new and shine like you wouldnt believe.
