Project rust rod daily.

This was optioned around at work and guess its been there almost a month. Alot passed on it and was tols it was heading to junkyard late afternoon. A nice buddy floated me the cash and bringing it home tonight.

I don't know how much that things was, but as cheap as they usually off the cars there it looks like a great deal.

Well, it was floating around that engine was bad, had no compression, such an such.
I heard stories from salesman saying it shot a spark plug out. Well all plugs were smooth in and out and the number 1 cylinder had a bad plug. Went back into work and matched a denso plug up and threw it in and purred like a kitten. It needs Vc gaskets and spark plug seals and see how it goes. It will need valve lash adjusted as well.

Has brand new, like months old header back exhaust including a cat. Tires are in greatttt shape.

Going to order a patch panel and buddy at work has a flange roller so i can mate the panel and body glue it on.

Going to rock a buddies tein flex springs with extended top hats and rock it randomly. And raise it for winter.

I post better pics of before and after and of the filthy interior.

On a side note. The famous broke cupholder cover works flawlessly, heat is hot, ac works but little on warm side so prolly needs recharge.

Radio rocks out as well. All oem.

Well, still runs and drives. It does smoke some, i know i got some in cylinders but i think its still worn down. Since it has some miles. But its rockable and a normal pace..lol

So since gene and I have built some fun hondas, this may be a new venture.

Ill still rock it as a daily but awhile for winter but.....

Its gonna be time to do a boosted H22A auto setup. Maybe shave some of the bay when its out and clean out some crap i wont want anyways.

For the price i may even do Sohc Vtec like i did in my old Accord and then boost that..

Well buddy at work brought in his air punch flange tool. Pretty sweet and gonna help alottt. It flanges material so it can be flush and punches holes to weld on.

needs to be a mudflap dragger!

im thinkin about it for sure...I need to go get some extra top mounts.

Just drove it home and is smooth and ran great!

mats are shot..Gonna shampoo the rest.

Welll, runs great but needs valve stem seals. Smokes good on start up for a few. But then after that its great. Maybe vtec head time from lkq.

On a good note...Interior and exterior and engine bay cleaned up well. Put 240 miles on her and now its time for the bad note.

Pretty sure headgasket went.....So ordered head gasket and valve stem seals even though the lucas helped that somewhat...lol
