Went euro. GTI

I bought the car used in march of 2012 from Fletcher Jones in downtown Chicago. The car is a 2010 Gti fully loaded. It only had 12,000 miles on it and was owned by an older guy who traded up to a Golf R (smart man). The car came with some goodies on the car such as a full milltek TBE and a Giac tune (shut off by dealer).

First mod for every car of mine in to do LED interior lights so I ordered leds from Superleds.com and decided to try out the red led floor lights and fell in love. Also picked up LED license plate lights from ECS

Car was left at home for a couple weeks while i was at work but when i got back i decided to have the windows tinted.
I decided to have Z tech in suburbs of chicago do the tint, expensive but totally worth it. I went with 15% 3m tint that was CNC cut for no human error.


Met up with a local and bought a Giac flash switcher for 50 bucks and what do you know, turned the tune back on haha

Next i had EEM Productions cut me some vinyl. As well as Touge Factory who make our crews stickers.


Cracked my god damn wind shield putting the hounds tooth vinyl on and 450 bucks later it became the most expensive sticker ive ever bought haha
seriously though never take your mirror off :bellyroll:

Next was an Autotech intake to complete the stage 2. I dont see the point in spending alot on an intake for my DD so cheap and effective it was. The intake is WELL worth the money and would recommend it to anyone. Big help to all my chicagoland friends who helped me out!

Saw a local with "GTI" seat inserts and decided to pick up a set but wanted to add my own touch so i painted them black and added a chrome vinyl underneath it. I really like the outcome.


Not car related but bought my self a D90 so i can finally have some good pictures haha
took this on my road tip from chicago to Jersey for the Bamboozle Festival


Finally the 7th group buy opened up for the Golf R tails and jumped on board. Took about a month but well worth it



Couple days later i decided to have John@FTC5 paint me a rear emblem


Also did a couple free/cheap mods.
Debadge the "GTI" and plasti dipped and cleared rear diffuser and side shirts
only picture i have at the moment


Picked up an OEM lip from VW-TX and installed it a couple hours ago




So thats where im at right now. I just installed an AWE boost gauge but have not got around to some pictures yet

Plans,
HID fogs
BBS CH in black or CCW's
Golf R headlights
Front bumper shaved and center painted
Some type of bags (dont know much so need to read up)
APR or s3 intercooler
K04
and im sure ill find something else i want.

Currently im building my srt-4 so this thread wont be moving super fast but ill be super to keep you guys updated :thumbup:

No I do not. I parted the car out to stock and sold it to my buddy. I travel for work and needed something newer and dependable. I miss it so much though.

Thanks guys. It's a great car. I love everything about it except it's fwd.
And yes bags will be coming but that will be year. I have a set of ccws comin for my Srt and I'm going to mock them up on the Gti. I might order a set for summers but we will see when they get here.
