| Yes another jetta build thread. But since I am about a month away from moving into a house with a garage and starting to actually do some work again, I figured I would start the thread now. Here is what the car looked like last summer (currently has no front bumper and the interior is partially out): Plans this year: Install Bora R front bumper (sitting in my dining room, needs paint and license plate holes filled) Install Cupra lip (puchased awaiting arrival) Repair rear bumper Install downstar fender hardware Move fuel pump from engine bay to factory fuel filter location (I have USRT fuel pump harness I need to install) Convert fuel lines to AN (already have a modified fuel rail and certain fittings) Remove unused brackets in engine bay, smooth seam sealer, fill unecessary holes. Redo wire tuck (move ecu, engine fuses into cabin under dash. Move fan control unit from frame rail to rain tray. Remove unecessary wiring, horn, bumper turns, and various deleted sensors) Convert brake boost vacuum line to AN Purchase a new power steering reservoir and convert the lines to AN Put on billet oil dipstick Paint radio and vent trim Install door pin delete and wire up led Install c-pillar bar Install update shifter bearing Install R32/TT LCA bushings Install 034 solid subframe mounts Notch passenger frame Added negative camber to rear (about 1.5 degrees) Get bigger lips for front wheels Recarpet trunk Replace windshield I am sure I am forgetting more, but at the end of summer I will pull the motor and have the bottom end rebuilt with IE Rods and AEB Pistons and get the damn thing fully painted and the hood fixed. It is a big list but I will update the thread often once progress starts. | |

| Boring build is boring. No cool new pics but the Cupra lip came in and now joins my bumper as boxed art work in my dining room. I order some parts to redo and move the engine fuses from my rain tray to under the dash. Going to change the to something easily replaceable. And got a line on some new headlights and taillights. The car has some crappy Joey modded headlights with drop in HIDs I plan to make retrofits out of them at some point. I just can't wait to get back to working on this pig... Memories... | |

| No updates as of yet. I just got the car to the new house on Tuesday and still have to sort and clean the garage. So I am hoping to test fit the bumper and get some of the interior together. I picked up some depo taillights which are exactly like GLI tails so I should have those installed as well. Pics to follow. | |

| Not a huge update at all. Got my new garage all organized and cleaned over the weekend. Helping the fiancée with the house didn't net me alot of time to tinker with the toy. But I did get the GLI tails on for a moment as the rear bumper needs to come off to be repaired. Hopefully I can get back to it this weekend. | |

| they look good. the smoked portions are a bit more "clear" than my gli lights. it looks much better than the old ones. my tails are probably my favorite aesthetic mod to my car. they look great on black paint. | |

| I had halogen lamps on for the pic so the tint is a bit washed out, but yes they are clearer then actual GLI tails. But these where much easier to find and inexpensive even compared to hella GLI reps. After seeing the GLI tails on Aaron Ok's Wolfsburg I knew I wanted to do something similar. Aarons rear for reference. But thanks, hopefully I can get to do some more work this weekend. | |

| Test fit the bora yesterday. The front intercooler pipes were taken off some trimming of the bumper is going to be needed in order to fit them. Excuse the iPhone shot I will edit the post with proper shots from my camera. *edit-the 19's are on the car and stop it from going lower in the front which is why the bumper is not closer to the ground. Also fit some 42dd led license plate lights and am working on getting the c-pillar bar in. Next I will tackle the engine bay and remove unecessary brackets and put a new gasket between the manifold and turbo and wrap the exhaust.

| Some work done today and throughout the week. Removed tint (horrible pic) Started taking the wiring out in the raintray. Redoing the wire tuck. Removed the dash as alot of the wiring is coming in the cab. Plus I want to remove the final AC componet under the dash. Pulled out the 4 gauge cable I have for thebattery and charging system. Upgrading to 0 gauge to the battery and 2 gauge to the alternator and starter. More progress soon. | |
