Im sure its one here somewhere but what color is that in the block dude. looks really good...

no progress right now, I've been busy/lazy. brake lines suck, they seem easy in theory but hiding them is a bitch.

the block/trans/intake mainifold is painted with truck bed liner. it goes on thick and hardens in a plastic-ish finish. super durable. I'm experimenting with it. i couldnt find any info about how well it holds up to high-heat. we'll see.

Rhino liner is bomb proof but not sure about others

I like the idea of the truck bed liner, might try that out on my transmission.

it will hold up no problem on a trans. i'm worried about it burning off around the exhaust flange on the head, but like i said, we will see how it holds up.

I ran the front brake lines last week.



I was able to manipulate the factory rear lines into the interior near where I have the prop. valve mounted. this saved some cutting, bending and flaring. you cant even see them behind the subframe unless you look really hard. they will get painted white again. the paint flaked from all the bending.



heres the mock up. for the lines. I've got a couple that were very difficult to flare, I had limited space so leaks are possible. I've got to get the master cyl cleaned up and perminatly installed before I bleed the system and check for leaks.


I'm so glad to get that mess off the firewall. its not pretty in there, but it will all be hidden!

I got the harness out tonight and began sorting and routing the wires. My soldering iron is missing from my garage, so no cutting could be done.

Excellent update, I like seeing progress on this. I always have a back up soldering iron, cause you never know when it may grow legs and walk away. Keep up the good work.

Some my not as good tools have grown legs and walked out of that same garage!

after an hour worth of re-routing and connecting the harness, i now have a rats nest.



i also scored this minty oem walker rear box this weekend, so the the b16 will sound the way honda intended. you never see these in MI in this condition.

Tonight I got the rear box all nice and proper. Its amazing what a little time and sanding can do. I'd say its going to look baller for sure.

this car sold on thursday night. i was kind of sad to see it go. it went to an older fella in holland and will be getting fitted with a 200+hp N/A b16. I needed the garage space and the extra money to finish up some home renovation projects.

this is the second car i've never finished, the last one was a scirocco back in 05. i'm kind of bitter about it. i hate giving up but it had to be done at this point in life.

the engine is still in my possession and will find its way into something eventually. hopefully sooner than later. but that will be a new thread. i will never ever shave a bay again or do body work again and expect nice results. so this was a learning experience.

Well that sucks, but I understand why. I want to get reimbursed for masking off your windows!
