Something like the Mason-Tech great plates? Yup, I know. - Chad G wrote:

Was not aware of that. I guess its not as noticeable on them because, well, I've never noticed it. I guess I should correct myself to note that mk4 r32s don't have that problem.

I didn't include the mk5 when I said mk2-4. The mk5 and 6 suspension is very much like a Focus suspension.

| i did not know it was similar to a focus. vw must have borrowed that from ford. mk6 they went back to the ol tried and true rear beam! | |

mk6 they went back to the ol tried and true rear beam! Close. Not all MK6 Jettas feature a torsion beam rear suspension, the GLI models have a "4-corner independent sport suspension", using Volkswagen's words. mk6 Golf/GTI has a "rear fully independent four-link suspension", again VW's words not mine.

| you sir are correct. base models got the beam back and rear drums again. i havent even been under a mk6 yet. but i LOVE the way they look, and i love how affordable they are. i can tell you, mk5's rear suspension is no fun. and they were very over priced.
mk1-4 > mk5-6.
gli hasent been a real gli since 05. i hate that.

| I'll give you that the beam is easier to deal with.
I dont recall seeing it, but what interior plans do you have? It'd help to pull off the houndstooth if you work it into the interior.
